It’s Far Hills Race Time!

As fall approaches and the leaves turn rich, golden hues, it’s time to gear up for a Central New Jersey tradition 82 years in the making—the Far Hills Race Meeting.

An autumn hotspot for more than 45,000 spectators annually, the Far Hills Race Meeting will be held at Moorland Farms in Far Hills on Saturday, October 19. This world-class event mixes society with sport, bringing young couples, families, race enthusiasts, organizations and corporations together. The Race Meeting lineup features the Breeders’ Cup Steeplechase, the nation’s most prominent steeplechase race.

Since the 1950s, the event has raised more than $14 million for Somerset Medical Center through Somerset Medical Center Foundation, profoundly impacting the medical center’s growth and ability to offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art medical services.

Advance tickets for the Far Hills Race Meeting are $40, and children under 14 are admitted free. Tickets sold at the gate are $80. General parking is $30 per vehicle. Gates open at 8 a.m., and post time for the first race is 1 p.m.
